This past week I had the awesome opportunity to do my ever speak on a User group at xgeeks Lisbon! And since it was an event together with AWS User Group of course I had to speak about AWS.

What was talked about?

Of course I wasn’t the only speaker, before there were 2 speakers:

• "How it started, how’s it going: A decade of Kubernetes" with Frederico Munõz, where we learn a bit of the history of K8s and where it cold be going - it was really insightful!

• "Architecting Resilient Cloud Native Applications: A Practical Guide to Deployment and Runtime Patterns" with Ricardo Castro. We went through the many patterns for deployment on DevOps environments, and even learned why a Canary deployment is called like that! Hint: it’s related to the miners 😛

• And last but not least - me! with “Hybrid Storage Solution with AWS Storage Gateway”

My Talk

It’s safe to say that I was very nervous! But finally I got the courage and opportunity to do some speak on a public event about AWS - and I think I can say that it went pretty well 😁.
